Your NACCU Volunteers,

Meet Your NACCU Volunteers:
Lynn Ernsting

This is the latest installment of the NACCU series highlighting our association volunteers. NACCU provides programs and services to our members, many which would not be possible without the dedication and commitment of our volunteer leaders. Volunteers, whether they are a committee member, a Board member, or an onsite volunteer at a conference, are all important in making NACCU volunteer-driven programs an exceptional experience for our card industry peers.

Campus Card Information:

Name: Lynn Ernsting
School: Seattle Pacific University
Volunteer Role: Membership Committee

What is your role at your institution?

I am the manager of the Falcon Card Services.

Where was the first NACCU conference you attended?

The first conference I attended was in Orlando, Florida (jackpot, right?!)

What is your favo(u)rite thing about volunteering with your NACCU committee?

I love getting to be part of a group of people who come together to combine their time and talents for the betterment of a larger group. NACCU is a huge resource for me as a professional and I'm grateful for any opportunity I get to contribute to the functioning of the association. As an introvert, I really appreciate the way volunteering with a committee allows me to get to know other NACCU members better.

What show are you binge-watching right now?

It is quite the grab-bag: Survivor, Patriot Act, Wanda Vision.

What is your go-to coffee / tea order?

My go-to order is Iced Sugar-free Non-fat Hazelnut Latte (... I'm from Seattle!)

What is your favo(u)rite memory from when you were a student?

My favorite memories from when I was a student involve finding tiny hole-in-the-wall restaurants and obscure little nooks and crannies all over Seattle with friends and roommates. Exploring the city I chose to come to for college and making it my home was truly formational for me and now I can't imagine living anywhere else!

What is one thing that would surprise people about you?

I'm pregnant! The magic of working from home and only seeing others from the shoulders up on video calls means most people don't know my belly's been growing, and we'll soon be a family of four come mid-March!

If you could write a book, what genre would you write and why?

It is a toss-up - either Sci-Fi or a Biography. I'm a bit of a secret Sci-Fi nerd and I would love to create new worlds and make the impossible happen. On the other hand, I would love to get to know someone historically and culturally significant so deeply that I could write an entire book about them!

We hope you have enjoyed learning about Lynn! Please look for a new edition of "Meet Your NACCU Volunteers" soon.
