The NACCU Community Can Help You Interview Student Workers!

By Alicia Todaro, Campus ID System Manager, University of Central Missouri

As a member of the NACCU community, I understand the challenges we all face when it comes to interviewing and hiring student workers. Over the past few years, I have developed a few resources to streamline this process, ensuring we select the best candidates who can contribute effectively to our teams. This has helped me conduct more structured and efficient interviews, leading to better hiring decisions and smoother onboarding processes. Recently, I uploaded these resources to The Vault, NACCU's shared resource library, and I want to share how valuable The Vault can be for all of us.

Sharing resources in The Vault is incredibly important for our community. It allows us to leverage each other's expertise and experiences, saving time and effort that would otherwise be spent reinventing the wheel. When you contribute your materials, you are not only helping your peers but also fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual support within NACCU.

I encourage everyone to take a moment to explore The Vault and see the variety of resources available. Whether you're looking for interview tips, training modules, or operational procedures, chances are someone has already created something that can help you. And if you have developed your own tools or documents, consider uploading them to The Vault. Your contribution could be the key to another member's success.

If you would like to access the resources I just shared, they are on the HR & Staff Management page under Training Resources. Check it out, then submit some files of your own!

Together, we can build a comprehensive library of resources that benefits us all. Let's make the most of The Vault and support each other in achieving our goals.
