Meet your NACCU Volunteers: Amanda Bennett
Meet your NACCU Volunteers:
Amanda Bennett
This is the latest installment of the NACCU series highlighting our association volunteers. NACCU provides programs and services to our members, many which would not be possible without the dedication and commitment of our volunteer leaders. Volunteers, whether they are a committee member, a Board member, or an onsite volunteer at a conference, are all important in making NACCU volunteer-driven programs an exceptional experience for our card industry peers.

Name: Amanda Bennett
School: Algonquin College (Canada)
Volunteer Role: Technology Research Committee
What is your role at your institution?
I serve as the Senior Manager of Technology at Algonquin College.
When and why did you join NACCU?
I joined NACCU in early 2023. The campus card is one of the larger, more complex technology systems within my portfolio, and I wanted to learn more about the industry, as well as develop some peer relationships with other institutions that I could reach out to when looking for more information about something.
Does your current car have a name, and if so, what is it?
Yes! My car is named She-ra, because she is powerful!
If the zombie apocalypse is coming, who are three people you want on your team?
I would choose my husband Pat because he is a fighter; my oldest son Aidan because he is smarter than me (and my husband never will be); and my youngest son Justin because he is hockey player and he knows how to kick some a**.
What is your most used emoji?
🤣
If you could learn one new skill, what would it be?
I would like to be a better singer so I could kill it at karaoke.
