Opening - Physical Security & Access Control Manager
The Physical Security and Access Control Manager is a critical member of the Risk and Safety team at Kansas State University, while working closely with partners throughout the university. As the university moves toward unified systems for access control, security cameras, and key management, this position provides support and oversight for those endeavors. Reporting to the Chief Risk and Safety Officer, this role is responsible for maintaining door access programs and key control programs to ensure appropriate interior and exterior access for faculty, staff, students, and visitors. Additionally, the manager oversees camera request needs, user rights and privileges and related file storage. This position will work closely with the Police Department to meet their needs, advise on camera and security system infrastructure needs, and maintenance. The role includes work order management, data reporting, and project coordination. The manager also provides installation and service support for security systems and technology, including access control systems and video management systems. In addition to access control and camera technologies, the manager will also provide oversight for the university key shop.
