Meet your NACCU Volunteers: CoCo Dean
Meet your NACCU Volunteers:
CoCo Dean
This is the latest installment of the NACCU series highlighting our association volunteers. NACCU provides programs and services to our members, many which would not be possible without the dedication and commitment of our volunteer leaders. Volunteers, whether they are a committee member, a Board member, or an onsite volunteer at a conference, are all important in making NACCU volunteer-driven programs an exceptional experience for our card industry peers.

Volunteer Role: Engagement Committee
What is your role at your institution?
I work in Card Services as the OneCard Specialist, which basically translates into Problem Solving Liaison.
When did you join NACCU?
I started at UCI in September 2021. I joined NACCU the following month in October and attended Industry Essentials Institute (IEI) that November. It was a whirlwind!
What do you like about volunteering with NACCU?
I love working with collaborative people whose main goal is to help others and make lives easier!
If you could choose your age forever, what age would you choose and why?
I would be 24. It's the age I met my better half and when I had all the energy to conquer the world!
If you could be any supernatural creature, what would you be and why?
Do mythical creatures count? If so, Pegasus. I'd be one-of-a-kind and get the best land and sky. If not, I would be a faerie. I think I just really want to fly. 😄
If you had 25 hours in a day, how you would use the extra time?
I would sleep. I love sleep.
What skill do you think everyone should have?
I think everyone should be an avid listener. We can learn a lot by letting people speak their complete thoughts instead of interrupting or talking over them.
