Stephen R. Covey's best-selling book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is the basis for this workshop. The book outlines a step-by-step pathway to creating workplaces that not only respect the individual and his or her capabilities, but also empowers people to reach their potential in their jobs and personal lives.


This workshop explores the need for substantial paradigm shifts in the way business is done, and identifies the principle-centered leadership Covey describes in his book. You will learn:

  • the difference between proactive and reactive behavior, empowering you with choices on how to respond to stimulus
  • how to be most productive by utilizing techniques such as a personal mission statement
  • the value and how-to’s of managing priorities
  • the concept of win-win leadership and conflict management
  • the power of effective listening skills
  • principle of synergy, clarifying the notion that no one can do it alone
  • how to stay current in your field of work (and life!)

This workshop identifies the habits along with discussion and experiential activities for each habit. The principles are developed so that each participant can incorporate these habits into his or her work world immediately. 

Anne Schroeder, president of Schroeder Management Consultants, is a management consultant, trainer, and speaker who provides consulting services, seminars and keynote addresses to thousands of business and professional people every year. With her office based in Central Florida, Anne has over 20 years’ experience in developing organizations and their personnel. Her firm conducts strategic planning initiatives, corporate retreats, customer service initiatives, team development and customized seminars.


Anne’s clients have included NASA, Ryder Systems, Coca Cola, American Lung Association, Jackson Memorial Hospital, Lee County Tax Collector, The Salvation Army, numerous county and municipal governments, and many others. 


She is also a founding member of Dramatic Results, a theater-based training troupe that provides highly interactive programs focused on relevant organizational topics laced with skits, generous audience participation, and magic illusions. She is a graduate of the SAK Comedy Lab in Orlando, FL. In addition, Anne is a certified bullying prevention consultant and trainer through Clemson University. She works directly with organizations to develop and facilitate initiatives and/or seminars to create awareness of bullying and strategies for creating a more civil and safe workplace. 


The trademarked Guests First program in Lee County aimed at the hospitality industry, now in its twelfth year, was designed and facilitated by Anne. In conjunction with that program, she wrote a bimonthly column for the Lee Island Coaster newsletter on innovative customer service tips and techniques. In addition Anne developed and conducted a similar program, Courtesy Calling for Charlotte County, FL, requested by Charlotte County Government following Hurricane Charley. 


Anne has a Master’s Degree from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, plus extensive training in organizational and creative problem solving from the University of Buffalo and from Synectics, Inc. in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In addition, Anne earned a Certificate Degree in Advanced Carpentry and along with her husband Ed, personally built their first home in Fort Myers, Florida. And she is a proud Florida native.
