Learn how and why the University of Georgia is leveraging DESFire EV2 technology and the LEAF Data Model to significantly increase the security of their access control and student ID credential. You will learn about the LEAF data model and how it ensures autonomy from a single vendor situation. The advantages of securely separating the Access ID from the Student ID on the same card will be explored. Transition strategies with the least amount of disruption and cost impact will be discussed. This session is based on a use case of the new contactless smart card solution deployed at UGA.
