Advice & Feedback from the 2018 NPI Cohort
DO IT! It was so helpful plus it was nice to know people at the opening reception. I felt that the people I met initially were the go-to individuals throughout the rest of the conference. We were able to share and discuss what we were learning.
Definitely attend this if you're new to the industry. Can't miss.
Getting contact info from other members at NPI helps build your network quicker than attending just the general conference.
Don't think twice about attending. The information and relationships are invaluable!
Ask as many questions as possible during the 'speed dating' (roundtable) portion!
Do it - it is a great experience!
Take it all in. The experience of NPI and the conference was great from a first-time attendee perspective. The networking on a small scale prior to conference helps everyone become more comfortable about talking with others before you see the conference on a much grander scale with more people from other universities. The team selected to teach NPI was great and very welcoming.
If you are new to card services you MUST do this! You'll make great contacts and find that you are not alone in this crazy world of cards.
The content and speakers were excellent. This was a great program for first time attendees and was wonderful to meet so many knowledgeable and friendly professionals in the field.
I thought it was very valuable and helped introduce networking in a not-so-overwhelming way considering how many people attended the conference as a whole. If I ever needed someone to talk to, I knew I could count on my fellow NPI cohort.
I can't even begin to tell you how helpful this was for me. I am almost two years into my position managing the carding office with no prior experience of how to do this. The information I learned during NPI and the NACCU conference is invaluable.
I think NPI was well prepared and formatted. It was great that it was made clear in the beginning that you were not trying to put us on the spot. That seemed to relax everyone and make it flow better. Y'all did a great job of keeping it moving and entertaining. I've got the attention span of a gnat but you kept mine. Thanks for providing this interactive, educational and important program.
I felt this experience was extremely valuable in helping me to understand aspects of campus cards which I had not previously thought about. It was also helpful hearing about the challenges that other campuses are experiencing.
The NPI was a great experience and the information provided was very helpful. The networking with others was great and I appreciate everyone's willingness to share the different pros and cons of doing things on their respective campuses. I think that is what helps us all make decisions on our campuses: communication with each other.
