Two New Fargo
Card Identity Systems Unveiled by Fargo
Systems include everything needed for
secure, professional ID cards
Minneapolis, MN
(March 28, 2007) Fargo Electronics, Inc., a
global leader in secure technologies for
card identity systems, today announced the
introduction of two complete card identity
systems featuring the DTC550 and the DTC400
card printer/encoders. The systems include
the hardware, software and materials needed
to create secure, professional ID cards.
"These new systems offer benefits to both
our customers who use them and our channel
partners who sell them," said Steve Blake,
Fargo's vice president of product marketing
for systems and solutions. "By integrating a
system at the manufacturer level, we can
ensure that the components we select are not
only compatible, but enhance the complete
package. End users are assured of an
easy-to-use, reliable system that meets
their needs.
"For our resellers, we now offer a way to
reduce the cost and hassle of researching
and integrating individual components within
a system. Some components, such as digital
cameras can change frequently as technology
advances. By having Fargo do the basic
integration of the card identity system, our
partners can focus on adding value through
implementation and support after the sale,
and by selling other related security
products."
The DTC550 Card Identity System meets the
needs of both security and IT in
enterprise-wide environments such as
medium-to-large corporations, post-secondary
educational institutions, public safety
departments, large hospitals and research
centers, state and local government
facilities as well as large organizations
that have membership applications. Its
modular design allows the system to expand
with customer needs including modules for
encoding up to three different technologies,
lamination for added security and
durability, and Ethernet connectivity for
card issuance anywhere on a network.
Included in the DTC550 Card Identity System
are:
* DTC550 single-sided printer/encoder
* Fargo Asure IDR Express software

* Full-color, 500-image ribbon with cleaning
