What would you say to someone who is considering volunteering with NACCU?

The skills that you learn will be invaluable to you both professionally and personally. You will have the opportunity to open up to ideas and opportunities that will help you thrive.

What impact has serving on the NACCU Board made on you, personally and professionally?

Campus cards, transaction systems, and student service have become a lifelong passion and have been key to my career growth over the last 25 years.

A big responsibility of being a part of an association such as NACCU is service to the community. Serving on the board, for me, has been about raising awareness of the association. As a result, I have had the opportunity to connect with members from a variety of institutions and industries. My hope is this will help support and cultivate the next generation of NACCU leaders, which will help ensure the sustainability of our association.

While being a board member can certainly help you grow your network, the real impact and change comes when you do hands-on work, specifically by helping other members reach important goals. Through this work and by serving on the NACCU board, I have not only expanded my network but have picked up new skills, ideas, and opportunities that continue to impact the work I do daily on my campus.

We hope you have enjoyed learning about Ken! Please look for a new edition of "Meet Your NACCU Board of Directors" next month!
