The NACCU Conference 2000 will include eight Breakout Sessions featuring presentations in the following five tracks:

Tours and Meetings

A Day by the Bay: Tour of the Monterey Coast and a Village Winery

The bus will depart the Fairmont Hotel at 8:30 am and will arrive in Monterey by 9:45 am. People will have time on their own to go to the famous Monterey Bay Aquarium (price not included in tour cost), shop at the scenic Cannery Row shops, have lunch (not included in cost of tour) and stroll by the water. The bus will return to pick everyone up at 1:00 pm and take the beautiful coastal drive to Carmel, passing the world-famous Pebble Beach golf course. The bus will stop at the Chateau Julien in Carmel Valley for a tour and wine tasting from 2:00 to 3:00 pm. After the tasting, the bus will travel back to the hotel, arriving around 4:15 pm. Please note: no refunds will be given due to missing the bus. Cancellation policy: 15% withheld from refund if canceling 15 days or more before tour; 30% withheld from refund if canceling less than 15 days before tour; no refund if canceling within 24 hours of tour.

City Lights: San Francisco Day and Night Tour

The bus will depart the Fairmont Hotel at 1:00 pm for a drive north through Silicon Valley into the city of San Francisco. At 2:30 participants will transfer at Union Square to a motorized trolley for a tour of all the city's major sites, including Nob Hill, North Beach, Chinatown, and Fisherman's Wharf. The tour will finish at the Fisherman's Wharf/Pier 39 area at 5:00 pm and folks will be on their own for dinner, shopping (loads of shopping at Ghirardelli Square, the Cannery, Pier 39 and the Wharf), pictures, boat rides on the bay, etc. The bus returns at 9 pm to pick everyone up, arriving back in San Jose around 10:00 pm. Please note: no refunds will be given due to missing the bus. Optional Free Campus Tours
Monday 3:00-6:00 pm

     Santa Clara University: contact Jane Barrantes at Santa Clara University. She will need to know how many people will be participating in order to arrange adequate transportation, which will be provided by AT&T.

     Stanford University: contact Teresa Janeway at Stanford University. She will need to know how many people will be participating in order to arrange adequate transportation, which will be provided by Diebold.

Best Card and Best Marketing Contests
Enter your ID Card and your best brochure for the two contests. Four copies of each card and marketing brochure must arrive at the NACCU National Office by February 15, 2000 to be included in the contests. Plaques will be awarded to those submitting the best card and brochure. All registrants will have the opportunity to vote for their favorites.

Awards Luncheon
Monday, March 13
The NACCU-VingCard PERSONA Professional Development Award will be presented along with the Effective Practice recognition and the Best Card and Best Marketing contest awards. Gold and Silver corporate members will be recognized along with all our conference sponsors. The logowear giveaway will be held.

Logowear Giveaway
Bring a piece of your college or university logowear - sweatshirt, t-shirt, polo shirt, hat - to be given away at the Awards Luncheon. Hint: you may be able to get your bookstore to contribute the logowear.

Topic Tables
Breakfasts on Sunday and Monday will include several topic tables. Look for a topic you wish to discuss with others.

Regional Meetings will be held at breakfast on Tuesday. Rooms will be listed in the conference program.

Mini-User Group Meetings
Monday 6:00-8:00 pm
NACCU has set aside a time and meeting space for the following user groups to meet: AT&T Campuswide, College Enterprises, Inc. - Card Systems Division, CyberMark, Diebold, Schlumberger, and The CBORD Group. Information on the meetings will be sent out by the user groups and will also be included in the conference notebook.
