Auxiliary Services Director

 

The University of North Carolina Wilmington is seeking applications for Auxiliary Services Director.  For the tenth year, UNCW is among the top 10 public master’s universities in the South by U.S. News & World Report.  The 2008 ranking was sixth.  Among both public and private institutions in the South, UNCW is 14th out of 119 institutions.  The Auxiliary Services Director is responsible for student auxiliary services at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.  The Auxiliary Services Director will have primary responsibility for developing and maintaining an effective auxiliary program by working positively and effectively in a team building environment, planning and managing resources, and demonstrating sensitivity to issues of diversity.  Units currently reporting to the director include UNCW bookstore, campus dining, vending, UNCW one card, passports, and parking and transportation services.  Responsibilities include departmental budgets and financial plans; facilities and contract management; service enhancement and focus on customer satisfaction; special projects; and development of annual communication plans for faculty, staff and visitors, prospective and current students, and for parents and students attending freshman and transfer orientation.  The director works closely with student government and student organizations, housing and residence life, campus life, and all university departments. The director serves on departmental, divisional, and university-wide committees as needed.  The successful candidate will possess a record of achievement as a university administrator in higher education, exhibit strong leadership capabilities, and have excellent business and supervisory skills.  Requires Bachelor’s degree, Masters degree preferred .
