Gwinnett College, the 35th member of the University System of Georgia, is a
premier 21st century four-year liberal arts institution. GGC opened its
doors to an inaugural junior class in 2006 and has expanded to enroll
freshmen beginning in Fall 2007. Located in Lawrenceville, GA GGC is less
than an hour away from downtown Atlanta. GGC provides targeted
baccalaureate-level degrees that meet the economic development needs of the
growing and diverse population of the northeast Atlanta metropolitan region.
Sustained enrollment is estimated at 10,000 students. GGC is a member of
ACUHO.
Position Description:
The Campus Card Coordinator is an administrative position responsible for
the campus card system including production, customer service, handling
deposits, maintenance, handling technical issues with system performance.
The Coordinator will plan and coordinate operations of the card office, card
system, and auxiliary services to include the College’s bookstore, food
services, vending operations, building entrance operation, mobile uses, and
any future expansions. The Coordinator will be responsible for all
activities of campus card and the BlackBoard interface. The coordinator will
work with the Assistant Director of Auxiliary Services to ensure the highest
levels of customer satisfaction and work with different Auxiliary
Departments in an effort to increase deposits.
Qualifications:
Education: Four year degree in computer science, engineering, information
systems, or other technical field preferred, or a combination of training
and experience may be considered
Experience
Prefer three years in a technical field
Experience in educational environment a plus.
Extensive working knowledge of Blackboard system preferred.
Prefer prior experience working in a card office in a higher education
setting.
Desirable skills:
The Card Office Coordinator must possess superior communication skills.
He/she must have the ability to relate to all campus constituencies. He/she
must have a multiple-task orientation and function well in a fast paced
environment. The Card Office Coordinator must be a self-starter and function
well with little supervision. He/she must possess excellent organizational
skills. He/she must be conversant with all Microsoft computer products.
Familiarity with databases and Banner Student Information Systems is a plus.
Physical Requirements: Position requires local travel. Ability to lift and
carry files and materials. Ability to move from one office to another office
on campus. Adequate vision, hearing and manual dexterity to interact with
people in person, on the phone and in writing. Taste and smell are important
in the food service quality assurance role. Job takes place in normal
environmental conditions.

Hours: Position may require non-standard work hours (nights and weekends).
