Innovative Technology Award

The Innovative Technology Award recognizes and celebrates the success of a NACCU institutional member that has implemented innovative uses of technology in support of services used by campus card programs.


  •  To encourage members to share unique and innovative ideas with other members.
  •  To recognize individuals/schools for making significant contributions to the industry

Awards Committee Membership, Charges and Process (Refer to NACCU Awards Committee Charges and Process published elsewhere)


  • Nominees may be self-nominated or nominated by another NACCU institutional member (as long as they are not serving  on the Awards Committee), or by a NACCU corporate member.

Eligibility for the award requires:

  • The institutional member’s institution is a listed member of NACCU.
  •  The innovative technology implementation demonstrates merit as being innovative but viable and can be easily interpreted.
  • The nomination must include a contact under a current institutional NACCU member

Nomination Requirements:

The nominated Institution representative must submit the materials outlined below.

  • Describe the challenge and/or the opportunity
  • Describe the concept of what is it that will be attempted/undertaken and what makes it innovative
  • Detail the steps taken to determine a solution based on the innovation being undertaken
  • Provide information about the evaluation of the solution including measured results
  • Describe the next steps and conclusion as well as lessons learned

Award Selection:

The Technology Awards sub‐committee will evaluate and make a recommendation to the full Awards Committee.

The Technology Awards sub‐committee will determine results for the award based on whether the entry meets the eligibility requirements as well as demonstrates the innovative technology results and outcomes. Each entry will be scored on a common scoring method. The nomination receiving the top score will be the recipient recommended to the Awards Committee. The Awards Committee will review and forward the final selection to the NACCU Board of Directors for approval. The recipient will be announced during the NACCU annual conference. The recipient of the award will receive one complimentary registration to attend the 2019 Annual Conference.
